Trailer Trad-gedy: Funny Founders

The web comedy "I Made America" released in 2012 features The Founding Fathers as 'fish-out-of-water' comedy fodder that provides more than a few chuckles. A right-wing political action committee gets tired of always wishing that TJ and rest were around today to fix things and figures out a way to teleport them to modern Chicago. In one episode, their overseer from the PAC brings them Chinese takeout. "Ah, food from the Orient!" Ben says. Funny.

Trailer Trad-gedy: 1960's Guy Humor Novelty Signs

People who read the Trailer Trad blog comments that I receive may think that urbane, creative and very funny humor comes naturally to guys . Au contraire. Guys have often needed the help of visual aids for laughs. For example, recently I acquired a group of novelty signs from the 1960s or 1970s. These were sold at dime stores or given away at places like South of the Border as carnival prizes. Guys could get a few of these, tack them up in the basement rumpus room (man cave) over the homemade bar next to a few Billy Beer cans and, VOILA, a fully decorated room for a few dollars.

Trailer Trad-gedy: Bad Shirts

This bold image of the Spirit of the Forest, the Gray Wolf, makes me want to construct a 'dream catcher' out of feathers, string and beads.
Would you think less of me if I secretly would consider buying one of these?

Ugly Lamps (reshown)

The kicker is not that antique dealers bring these lamps to sell at the flea market. It's that they actually DO sell.
