Remember that blizzard well. The snow was so deep that we had to crawl out of the attic window to get outside. Didn't melt until the following September, yessir.

  4. Regarding Mr. Whipsnych,

See folks. This is the kind of priceless old-timer folklore that you just won't find at the pure 'trad style' blogs.

    A Train to BK,

While riding your fixie, did your 'Grizzly Adams' beard blow in the breeze?

    Dear Cousin Bucky,

Don't be a sowah pah-simmon. Jedediah told me that accawdin' to thuh Fahmah's Almuhnock, Springs a' comin'. Yessir.

  5. Dr. Trad: More of a Justin Vernon beard really. Need to pick up some beard oil next week along with the new Son Volt.

  6. Remember that one as well, though it doesn't compare to the one in '38 -- that was a real humdinger! Jed, maybe we should invite Trailer Trad to the next meeting of the Codgers Club.

Correct me if I'm wrong, butI believe that the Beaver & Otter Society has reciprocal rights to the Codgers Club clubhouse.

I resemble that remark, OTTR, there is absolutely nothing wrong with carrying one's own cutlery - especially when you carry it in a stylish a 'Made in America' tan Filson satchel.

Sometimes trying to be witty and clever at someone else's expense just makes you look foolish.

  10. Nah, we ending our affiliation with the Beaver & Otter Society when they stole our mascot -- a stuffed muscrat back -- in 1978!
